Utterly pathetic

I blame knitting.

1800s

825. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn – Mark Twain
897. The Scarlet Letter – Nathaniel Hawthorne
916. The Fall of the House of Usher – Edgar Allan Poe

Hmmm....
Well, in my defense (defensiveness) I forget a lot of what I read, so I may have missed a couple. Also, I do own several on the list that I haven't gotten around to yet.
And, too, I have read several books I did not have to read before I die. I wonder if those books would be available to read in the afterlife, or if they simply have no effect on whether you die or not.
It follows then that I am better off taking my time reading these books, thus preventing my death indefinitely.

wow, i dont feel so bad...i went through the list and have read exactly 30.

funny, since that article that came out last week saying the average american reads 4 books a year, i counted that i think i read about 15 since january.

clearly this is doing nothing for my impending death by not reading the RIGHT books.

dammit.

Me, I am slow but tenacious- I've probably only read 8 or 9 since January.
As per that article you mentioned, its probably because we don't go to church.
The bright side is that since we aren't trsding books from the list, it'll be a good long time before I see you in hell.
